Vintage Japanese kimono obi silk runner
Limited edition, only 1 made from this obi
Individually hand selected pattern
INFO/CARE
Runners individually hand crafted from vintage Japanese kimono obi silks. The obi is the formal sash worn around the waste of a kimono and were once worn by Geishas or in formal Japanese ceremonies. '
Hexagon' button means 'kikko' (tortoise shell). In Japanese culture this represents 'happiness & longevity' often used in wedding ceremonial attire.
Note: Vintage silks may show evidence of creasing, age marks, fraying and uneven surfaces. In some cases they are a silk mix.
Woven metallic threads can create a raised surface as they run underneath the silk.
Take care of me:
Suitable for occasional use, not for every day wear. May fray with wear. Avoid direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Avoid liquids.
